Resolved
I just spend few hours setting the yellowfin application on my laptop, But in the first window stays a lot of time and doesn’t get thru..With the following note: Generating report ... Wait a moment Please wait while your panel reports are generated.
Hi Miguel,
Thanks for letting us know the issue.
Can you please send me the info.jsp page of your Yellowfin?
You need to type in <Yellowfin URL>/info.jsp and please email me that page.
This page contains the information like, Yellowfin Version, Build, and how much memory allocated and being used and other details.
The slowness could be due to the resources or could be the drivers being used to connect to the database.
Can you please tell me what database are you using?
If your Yellowfin is on internet, please create a test user account and email me the details, I will test it from my office and find out the cause of the slowness.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Mahe

Hi Miguel,
Thanks for the information.
Yes, the memory allocated is 1 GB, please increase it to 2GB and see if that makes any difference.
Please increase the Java memory by following the steps mentioned in these articles.
Where can I find how much memory is allocated?
What is jvm max memory and why should I care?
More information about why Yellowfin is slow.
If you need any help or if you have any questions, please feel to reply back.

Mahe

Hi Miguel,
Sorry, we cannot get the data directly from the websites, but can read the data from the databases.
You can refresh a dashboard report every couple of seconds, so it gets the latest data from the database. See if that options suits your requirement.
Also please let me know if you have any questions.
