What is the significance in the new view builder to save a view in a Folder

The new view builder in 7.3 requires the user to save the view in a Folder before exiting. Previously in 7.2 there was no such requirement. What is the advantage of using Folders for views, and how does it compare with the 7.2 View Category?

Functionality is not changed, however, for some cusomers that have many views, adding folders has allowed better management.

We're using 7.3 and are required to enter a Folder and Sub Folder when saving a VIEW. However, what's the purpose of this? When I go to Views and Click on the PLUS + sign, the folders we saved Views into, are not visible? Very confusing......
How do we show our Views in the Folders and SubFolders that we used when saving?
We're using this Product with Remedy 9.1.
