Summary Metrics Not Being saved

Hi

I have a report that contains two summary metrics, however both metrics are incorrectly showing a value of zero. The report has been edited in our test system, however although the metrics show on the report neither metric is visible in the Report Summary screen. These have had to be be re-added several times as when I click Save either nothing happens or it clears the entry.

After finally getting the metrics re-added and tested, the report has been exported and imported into the Live system but the same happens with the metrics not being available.

Screenshots attached. Please can you advise as I am having the same trouble if I try and update the live report directly

Hi Wendy,

Thanks for reaching out. I am not able to replicate this thus far. When adding a Primary Metric to a Report Summary section, all is working as it should:

/j+6yz1m5hNwAAAAASUVORK5CYII=

/ryDY6ZhxzvwAAAAASUVORK5CYII=

Can you please re-replicate it to where you click Submit and it stays blank and then take note of/supply the following two things:

1. The entire logs folder; located at <YellowfinInstall>/appserver/logs . This may prove unhelpful here since the Report Summary section itself is built using JavaScript, but if it's having difficulty querying something in the backend, this should let us know. And,

2. Check the F12 Browser Developer Tools to see whether any error messages have been generated. I suspect if you click 'Submit' and that's not working properly, since the pop-up is JS an error message could plausibly generated. If there is, please send a screenshot of the error message(s). If this does not occur, then I'd think something on the back-end would be causing this. One addendum to this, is that if there is a JS error message, please try this in another browser and see if the issue still occurs.

I look forward to your response.

Regards,

Mike
