Storyboard Theme options

Raising on behalf of Joan Poblet;

v7.2 and upwards.

We would like more options for the Storyboard Theme options. As it stands only Admin users can have access to the Storyboard Themes; uploading etc. We can have other users gain access to this by enabling Configuration. See image;

This will enable the Admin Console for users of which then gives them access to Admin privileges, something of which we do not want.

IDEA

Our proposal/idea is to have either of the 2 options listed below:

Under Roles > Storyboard - we could add an option to have Storyboard Management for Themes of which can be viewed at user level for all types of users as opposed to just the admin. We could have this as an extra option within our Left Side Navigation menu.
Alternatively have Storyboard Themes set to private/public of which would allow specific users to see.
We could consider having this placed directly within the Storyboard Setup section to allow us options such as upload a theme, manage etc. This would then cut out the roles options as mentioned in idea 1 above.

Hi Joan,

I hope all is well,

I have some good news for you. Our Ideas (x2) mentioned in this post have now been pushed to our devs and they will now consider these 2 options for our redevelopment of Storyboards of which will be at the end of this year or early next year. I hope this brings a smile to your face.

Hi Joan,

No problem. As it stands we are in the process of revamping how Storyboards look/feel/interact, this will be something of which should be scheduled for come the end of this year or early next year. All current Storyboard Ideas/Tasks etc. will be considered when our dev team look at this.

Hi Paul, we're leaning more towards setting everything up as a dashboard, and then simply displaying it in Storyboard mode.

So you create it once and can display it in a few different options.

Don't worry once we have some decent news we will be signing about it ;)

Hi Paul,

I have since heard back from my team, unfortunately it's not the best of updates, as we are limited on what we can release...

"We’re aiming to make some changes in 8.0 on Storyboard, though exact details/confirmation cannot be provided at this time."

With this I think it would be a good idea to how you use storyboards?,I would also like to question if there are any big changes that you were hoping to see?
