Conditional format Numeric Display

Hi there,

It would be really useful if there was a way to apply conditional formatting (ie colour of the number) per the conditional formatting set on the table, like the digital numeric display does.

Let me know if I have missed something and there is a way to do so!

Thanks!

Dani

Hi Dani,

You can definitely color a value based on conditional format rule. See screenshots below and also attached example from Ski Team .

Please let me know if I'm missing anything.

Sorry for my lack of explanation, I was referring to the 'Numeric Display' chart type.

All good, now I fully understand, and yup you're correct.

I do know this is something we do plan to support in the future, and have linked this idea to that dev task. Any updates on that will be posted here.

However, in the meantime, the digital number chart will display the conditional formats automatically. See screenshot below, and attached report export example based on Ski Team.

Hope this is a feasible option in the meantime.

Thanks David,

For now I have just created a pie chart (with the conditional formatting) and put a number chart over top which is working for now :)

Hi,

Can you guide me with conditional formatting on pie chart with ref to Danielle Howes comment above.

Also, I am trying to achieve conditional formatting on numeric display chart type.

Need help on both.

Hi Syed,

To get this pie chart look:

-Drag in a Metric to your report builder. Set your desired Conditional Formatting:

a15b330b34802c6f1bfef777a0819183

-Head into Charts > choose Pie > drag Metric into Color and Size > click Series Settings > Color > Conditional Format:

23c14903cbecb99c16a3914f1404a381

-You'll then probably want to get ride of the description under the chart, by going Legend > None, also from the Charts stage.

-Then the easiest way to get a number over the chart would be to make it a multi-chart, by clicking the "+" in the bottom right, leaving the second chart blank.

-Head into the Design stage and drag your chart into the canvas and add a text widget and type in the value for the chart:

To conditionan format the Numeric Display Chart, it's done the same way as above - by going into Series Settings > Color > Conditional Formatting. Except the conditional formatting is a bit limited for this chart type. As you can see applying the conditional fomratting to this chart type looks a bit different:

Hope this gives you what you're looking for. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Mike
