Yellowfin DB Data Source credentials changed, but old credentials appear to be in use

Hi there,

I've changed the credentials for my Yellowfin DB datasource to instead use a different SQL Login. The new credentials test ok and no problems there.

My issue is that the old SQL Login keeps getting locked out, and it appears that my Yellowfin server is somehow still using the old SQL Login (and now incorrect pwd).

Is there anywhere else I should be changing/refreshing the new Yellowinf DB SQL Credentials?

Hi William,

To confirm here you are editing the web.xml file to do this, or are you editing the YF config DB data source?

If you are editing the web.xml, I would check to confirm that you do not have a connection string with the user already specified.

Hi Nathan, I’m editing the YF datasource in the YF frontend.

I’ll check the web.xml as well though to see where this old credential is still in place, thanks.

Ok, so even though I changed in the YFin Config DB data source via the frontend, web.xml still had reference to the old user account.

I’ve changed manually within web.xml and it appears to be working fine now.

Thanks Nathan.
