Hello Team,

We would like to create report in YF as shown in attached file.Where 'Deployment Basic Information' and 'Server Information' are not a field however they are labels used to differentiate the data.

Hi Pratiksha,

Thanks for reaching out. There's really no way to accomplish this at the report level. It wouldn't even be possible to manipulate the data in this way and use it as a cross-tab report, as each "label" would have different fields under it, which can't be done since in cross-tab reports the metrics would be shared between categories.

To demonstrate this, when you add metrics, you see the repeat for each Dimension:

/8da009f93f7dba54b9314b14e590ab68

Really the only way I can think of getting close to this result would be heading into the charts section and adding a second chart to make the report a multi-chart report where you can get the canvas, then manually adding a text widget above the data and customizing it, like so:

/0a191c6612b094b2d361e260576b750c

Ultimately, the end design of the report would have to be an achievable result via the SQL. There just isn't this type of customization in Yellowfin to get this result at the repot-level. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for sharing your test analysis.

Is there any enhancement request raise for such requirement already. If not can we raise it ?

Looking forward to your response.

Hi Pratiksha,

There is no pre-existing Idea for this. As such, I've gone ahead and converted this to an Idea and logged this as an Idea for an Enhancement Request. Before becoming a request, ideas will be reviewed by our Product Team and chosen for Enhancements based on feasibility, level of positive impact to the user experience, and votes from the community. This post will be updated with any future information relevant to this process.

Mike
