Using Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) as a Data Source

I am trying to use Oracle ADW as a data source for my Dashboard. To connect any SQL client to ADW, a wallet file(provided by ADW itself) is used.

  • Has anyone tried connecting YF to ADW ?
  • How did you manage the sharing of Wallet file ? Does it have to be moved into one of the installation/system folders ?
  • Did you use regular JDBC driver or dedicated Oracle driver for connection ?

Hi Sachin,

Thanks for reaching out. Here is a list of currently supported connections -

There is an open request for Oracle Wallet support, you can follow this post to receive updates to this task if you'd like.

Generally speaking Yellowfin should work connecting to a data source via JDBC. I prefer to use the DB specific connectors when possible. HThat said If ADW connection needs Oracle Wallet, I'm afraid it wouldn't be supported at this time. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need anything additionally here.

Thanks,

Eric

You can try this driver for a better connection - odac.
