when in try to create new transformation flow i receive the error
ClassDefFoundError: com/hof/mi/etl/step/ETLStepAPIVersion....."

Thanks for getting in touch. Can you please send me the entire yellowfin.log file shortly after you have replicated this?
You can find the logs in your yellowfin installation folder: yourYFInstall/appserver/logs
