Transformation Calculated Field More Options

Hi there,
I think it would be very useful if the calculated field in the transformations had all the options that are available in the view/report level. This would help greatly in pushing as few rows of data to a new table helping Yellowfin run faster.

Thanks for reaching out. The good news is we actually already have an existing internal task for this, along with a slew of other ETL enhancements - including one's for advanced filtering options, allowing multi-table input step, supporting additional data types, and the task I'm linking your Idea to here, which is called "Calculated Field - Advanced", which will allow "for more complex scripting, functions and boolean logic." The bad news, is there's no ETA on this as of right now.
Any future updates regarding this enhancement will be posted here.

I have an update from our CTO on this:
"We have a new design for calc field - once implemented it will eventually replace the one in view/report as it will be more powerful."
There's going to be a bit of a wait though: "Mid next year at the earliest."
Either way, I'll be keeping this ticket updated intermittently on progress made here.
