Sort option on legend - ref code

Hi Team,
We would like to raise this as an idea to have additional feature on sorting order for legend on chart. Currently we only see Ascending and Descending option, however if we could add ref code as well would be a value add.

I have since submitted this we can track with the following ID: YFN-15541. Remember this is internal to YF.

I have since had some feedback from our dev team and they have raised/questioned the following:
Could we please have some more information about the chart type and situation? Sort by ref code is implemented on charts already in most cases:
However there are situations where it is not, due to legacy issues within the code base that we haven't gone back to change yet:

I have since looked at this in our latest 8.0.4 20191216 and from what I can see this is an option in most chart types, see below a few examples of this;

I come with news, we have since implemented this enhancement feature within 9.6; Reference code sorting for non-auto bar charts with dimension colour to both the colour field and the dimension axis.
However this has not made it to our 8 release. Let me know your thoughts on this.
