Related content information in options JSON
I have created some menu "buttons" to group related report links using layered charts to display a dynamic label (dummy chart with x-axis label) and link to related drill through reports. See screenshot.
Whilst this works, it is a workaround and is not the best user experience.
The idea is to have a grouped menu of reports on the main dashboard.
I have been building some custom JS charts, and was wondering if a custom JS chart could be used for this purpose. The biggest problem with this idea is replicating the drill through links.
Would it be possible in the future to include related report link/url information in the options JSON variable that holds data & report information for custom JS chart to use?
This would then allow allow custom charts to add drill through functionality.

thank you for your Idea, it sounds possible, but as to whether it gets implemented or not is up to the product development team when they review new Ideas next month.

in fact, it is more than possible - apparently it will definitely be available in 2019 with the advent of Yellowfin's forthcoming new Chart API.
