Profile permissions to drag & drop reports from one report to another

Hi,

We have realised that, depending on the user profile, the user can or cannot drap & drop reports from one folder to another.

We have tried to check the different profile permission but haven't been able to figure out which is the missing right.

Could you please explain us why this is happening and how we can add the right permissions to all the users?

Thank you.

Regards,

Joan.

Hi Joan,

As there is no specific role for this, you will need to ensure a broader combination of accesses. As far as role permissions, you will need access to content folders, and the ability to edit reports.

Whether or not you can move reports between folders also depends on your access to that report. You will need at least edit access to the report in question as well as permissions for the content folders in question.

Hopefully this gets you going in the right direction.

Hi Nathan,

We checked that the user had even the delete access in the report and origin and destination folders. Is there any other thing to be checked?

Thank you.

Joan.

Hi Joan,

Unfortunately those are the main aspects involved, so we are going to have to experiment a bit here.

  • Does switching this users role to a more admin level allow them to do this
  • Can other users of the same level do this as well?
  • Can they move reports that they created between content folders that they created?
