Modify Tooltips Option for all Chart types

This functionality is something that we would like to request you to add for all charts.

As tooltips cannot be modified by us

For Ex: Adding Definition for any metrics or adding calculation for any metrics

Hi Shweta,

Tooltip can be added to most charts, by dragging in the report field.

However there are some charts that do not currently support tool tips.

Are you after tooltips on specific charts, or do you simply want to manually enter text for tooltips that are already present on charts?

Reason I ask is, depending on what you're after, this could already be possible with a little bit of work.

Hi Shweta,

Ok that is something that is not currently planned. Our tooltips are always based off data returned in the report.

So unless you can pull the data into your report, you cannot add a tooltip.

In saying this, the multichart canvas does allow you to add text boxes, so you may already be able to get what you're after. The only thing is, these text boxes are 'not' dynamiic, so they're always displayed.
