Hi Support,

Is there a table in the configuration database that contains information about the comments that were made on the dashboard using the collaboration functionality?

A client wants to create a report of those comments in Yellowfin.

Hi Tshepiso,

Comments are stored in the textdata table, usually wrapped in a tag, e.g.

This is amazing to say the leastThey are paired with a textid so it should be possible to create a report but will be a little tricky. I hope that points you and your client in the right direction.

Apologies for the delay in response, I believe this was originally posted as an internal note rather than a direct reply to you.

Kind regards,

Chris

Hope you're having a good week.

Just wanted to check-in and see how it's all going. Was there anything you were needing from me to help get this resolved?

Hi Chris,

I hope you are well.

Do comments have an expiry date?

I am asking this because we recently pointed an old instance to a fresh install and we have lost the old comments on the dashboard. The only visible comment is now just the latest one.

Is there a way that we can get them back on the dashboard/reports?

Lebo

Hi Lebo,

I've just answered this in the separate ticket you logged so we can continue the discussion there.

Kind regards,

Chris
