After the new upgrade to v 8.0.1 in Apr, the language has been changed from Eng to Thai. I want Eng back.

Hi Ruetee Chitpranee,

Thanks for reaching us, Can you please check your browser language settings?

You probably need to change the language to English.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,

Mahesh

Hi Ruetee Chitpranee,

I made a video on how to change the Language settings for you.

After changing, restart Yellowfin server and clear the Browser Cache to make sure the changes are applied.

See how you go with it and let me know if you still have issues.

Try on a different computer and see if that makes any difference.

Also can you please send me this page <Yellowfin URL>/info.jsp

save the page as HTML and email it to me.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,

Mahesh

Hi Andreas,

I'm afraid this video is no longer available, but I can surely demonstrate this for you.

Language settings are found in Profile Settings > Regional Settings > Preferred Language:

/716ac4c355a52afb798aaefe1e06d6ef

/616a4761b893324a19200007798cb242

The languages you'll have available under Preferred Language is dependent on what you've configured under Administration > Configuration > Region > toggle Multi-language deployment to on > choose/add Languages:

/2109c1d751bd3e2a607e1fa8c29ae6a9

In case the issue is that you can't read what you're seeing, these settings are located in the same exact locations as above regardless of current language.

Hopefully this helps. Please let me know how goes.

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mile,

Multi-language deployment was active but the list of languages was empty and I had to add the ones I needed.

In other installations there is always a default set of languages and there was no need to manually add them.

Do you know of known issues in 7.3 regarding this?

Would this show up in any (installation-)logs?

Thanks.

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for your response. It's possible something related to installed language could show up in the InstallLog, which you'd find in your root <YFinstall> folder. However, by default there actually shouldn't be any options there under Language Settings > Language. It's possible to configure additional languages as an installer option, so perhaps that's what occurred in a previous installation, but this should actually be expected. In fact, by default Multi-Language Deployment isn't even turned on so this section doesn't even show up. Here's what it looks like with a fresh installation:
