Filter Format = CSV Entry - YF to handle fields with embedded commas
Completed
YF doesn't handle CSV fields with embedded commas for the CSV Entry type of Filter Formatting.
For example, if I have 2 CSV fields
"Melbourne, Victoria", "Melbourne, Florida"
then Yellowfin will interpret this as 4 separate fields.
(please see attached screenshot)
Could you please implement the functionality such that Yellowfin will allow embedded commas in CSV Fields.

Hi Mancy,
Just letting you know this item has been logged as an enhancement and currently under review.
Will let you know once there is movement, as we believe this is a feasible request, it's just a matter of working out when we can implement these changes in 7.3.
Regards,
David

Hi Mancy,
Got some good news!
It looks like we can give you the results you were after.
As long as the values are seperated by ", then the , will be ignored.
So with the above example, "Melbourne, Victoria", "Melbourne, Florida" will be registered as only 2 values, not 4.
This change will be implemented in the 7.3 June release, which should be available on the last Friday of June.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns on this.
Regards,
David

Hi Mancy,
Yup, this was fixed in June 7.3 (sorry didn't close this earlier). You can check this on our change logs:
5723 - added method handling different cases with csv string splitting
As per previous notes, as long as the values are separated by ", then the , will be ignored. So with the above example, "Melbourne, Victoria", "Melbourne, Florida" will be registered as only 2 values, not 4.
Please let me know if you have any issues or questions post upgrade.
