Filename format when exporting a report to a file
Answered
Hi,
Is it possible to define the filename format with wildcards when exporting a YF report to Excel or any other format? For instance "Reportname"_{creator}_{dateformat yyyymmdd}_date.xslx
Thank you.
Best Regards,Joan.
Hi Joan,
Unfortunately this is not possible. We can convert this into an idea, but I think that the best short-term solution here would be to create a bash/python script on a chron job that renames any incoming files appropriately.
Let me know if this sounds like a workable solution.

Nathan

Hi Nathan,
Hope you are having a good day.
Could you be so kind to explain your point a little bit more? For instance, how would it work when either sharing or broadcasting a report by email?
Thank you.

Hi Joan,
The workaround I mentioned would only work if your goal is internal storage, so it probably wont be applicable to you. The idea being that if you export these files to a set locations such as FTP broadcast, you could run a script in this location to re-name the file.
I have created the following idea out of this:
