Dynamic Date Time-period malfunction
Idea Logged
Hi Support,
I hope you well.
I am trying to use dynamic date function to select a range of current date minus 1 day and current date minus 1 month.
for some reason yellowfin does not allow me to select a different time period for between. If I change one do day then the other one gets changed to day automatically which isn't what I want.

Hi Tshepiso,
Thanks for reaching out to support with your issue.
I did some testing and can see what you mean - the date granularity automatically "syncs" when changing one of the "between" operands on the Dynamic Date Filter option. I could not set this function to a value like "Between current date - 1 month" and "current date - 1 day."
A couple of options going forward -
A. We can submit a task to developers to look into possibly including this in a future version;
B. In the meantime you could try the workaround of using the same granularity for the filter e.g. "between current date - 90 days"
C. You could also create two dynamic date filters, each with the different date granularity -
Let me know if there's a way you'd like to proceed here.
Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,
Thanks for getting back to me.
We used option c as a workaround but what we wanted was for you to go with option a, including this in a future version, that will be best.
