Hi Team,

In Drill through analysis, is it possible to add one more filed for addition condition in 'Condition direct link'?

Currently under where clause, able to see only one drop down to apply condition, can we add one more field to apply another condition to pass.

Please check and advise. Thanks

Hi Kalaiselvan,

Thanks for reaching out. There is currently only one WHERE condition allowed in Conditional Direct Link configurations. I should note that you can get similar results using the standard Drill Through option, so long as you're setting the hierarchy of drill reports properly.

Is there a reason you can't use one of the other options? If you can explain the use case on why this particular functionality would be useful, then I can change this to an Idea item for: "Allow Additional fields in the Conditional Direct Link WHERE conditions in Drill Through reports" and submit an internal enhancement request.

Please let me know if you'd like me to go ahead and do that and also provide said use case to us as this will help us understand the use case and why another option wouldn't be suitable here (and/or why this may be better for you), both of which would increase the chances of this enhancement being chosen for future development.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Yes, it would be good to make it this as an idea.

I have only 'Conditional Direct Link' since the child report doesn't have any user prompt filter and the child report is sql based report.

If i have possiblity to add more condition in this function, i don't need to modify the child reports which makes life easier.

Please let me know your thought on this.

Thanks

Hi Kalaiselvan,

Thanks for explaining your use case. I do see how this could be a valid "quality of life" improvement. As such, I've gone ahead and converted this to an Idea item and submitted an enhancement request for this.

Any potential updates surrounding this will be posted here.

Regards,

Mike
