Hi Team,

When i create Dashboard, i couldn't see some information which is available on report level - like filter information, conditional formatting legend.

Attached screenshots for your reference. Could you please check and advice.

Thanks,

Kalaiselvan

Hi Kalaiselvan,

The filter information is not available for each report on the dashboard. This is by design to prevent clutter on the dashboard as it can be quite a lot of information to present on the screen. The legend information is available on the dashboard but only for the charts as per below and not for the tables. There is an idea raised for the filters to be displayed on the dashboard, but there has been no update to this so I cannot provide any updates. The only other thing I can suggest for the report legend to be shown in the dashboard would be to raise another idea.

Hi Kalaiselvan,

Hope you had a good weekend.

Just wanted to check-in and see how it's all going. Was there anything you were needing from me to help get this resolved?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your response and suggestion. Yes that would really great if we can show the conditional formatting legend in top of the dashboard. For example, if we use any icon's kind of formatting, based on that the end user easily can identify those icon's meant to what.

Please let me know your thought on this.

Hi Kalaiselvan,

I think it seems like a good idea, so I will raise this and provide all the information to the dev team to review. I cannot promise anything, but we can certainly see how it goes.

Hi Kalaiselvan,

I hope all is well,

I know it's been 4 years since this was last looked at, however I have since assigned this to check on the status. Unfortunately no movement with getting these 2 options implemented, however I do come with a workaround if this helps.

NOTE: I have tested this in 9.10.01.

We can have said 2 items added to Dashboards; Conditional Formatting Legend & Filter. We can achieve this by applying a screenshot/image of the 2 items needed, then uploading these through the uploader image section to then place on a Dashboard.

I hope this helps.

Hi Kalaiselvan,

Further to my last response of using the workaround I will mark this back to Idea Logged so that we can continue with the request to have this as an UI option within YF as opposed to using the workaround.

Hello Mark,

Hope you well.

yep, it's been 5 years since this topic was raised. Thanks for your suggestion on the workaround, but it won't be helpful and with bit of challenges.

Adding image/screenshot will be static info, but it will not be sufficient.

  1. If any changes in the conditional formatting, like adding/removing or updating the formatting, again we need to replace the image in dashboard which will be a manual intervention.
  2. Filter info to be updated based on the user parameters, so it'll not be a static filter conditions.

Hope this can be highlighted and added in the future releases. These can be added under 'Report Menu' in the dashboard

like Conditional formatting, Filters info - can be enabled or disabled like the below.

Hi Kalaiselvan,

Thank you for getting back to me, I have put this forward to the wider team to see if we can get some movement on these 2 items raised. Hopefully this will help push.

Regards,

Mark
