Clarification on Advanced Function

I was viewing this post in the community. The top user of the post made mention of the ability to view the sql of an advanced function. Is this true?

Hi Jim,
if you are referring to the Advanced Function as shown below:
then I'm afraid the answer is no. Those Advanced Functions are written in the Java source code and are applied to the result set after the report SQL query has already been run.
An easy way to show this is to apply, for example, the Advanced Function called "Natural Logarithm" to a metric in a report, then look at the report SQL. There will be nothing in the query to do with obtaining a natural logarithm value.
