Chart Set Analysis needs to filter by metrics

I have a scenario where I want to filter my set analysis by a column which is a metric. I have a report showing invoiced figures for each customer, there are lots. I want my table of data to show all rows but my chart to just show top 10.
I am using an Advanced Function to create an ascending rank. I want the set analysis to be able to filter the rank column to top 10. Currently it can't because the rank is a metric and the filter options only show dimensions and dates.
