Cannot log into Yellowfin after upgrading to 7.2 July 2016 release

Resolved

Yellowfin was working completely normal until upgraded to the 7.2 July 2016 release.

Since the upgrade, Yellowfin seems to start correctly, no errors are logged anywhere, and the service remains running.

However, when hitting the login page, a 503/404 error is displayed, or even just a blank page.

I can however hit the info.jsp page and prove that YF is running, just can't get to the login page.

*UPDATE*

This has now been fixed in the official August 2016 release.

So you can also just upgrade and it will all be resolved :)

This issue is most likely related to a library change implemented in the July release.

The good news is that's it's extremely easy and painless to resolve.

1. Stop Yellowfin

2. Save the attached file 'struts_support.jar' under \Yellowfin\appserver\webapps\root\web-inf\lib

3. Start Yellowfin

This will be resolved in a future update, so this should only be needed in the interim.

Detailed info on this can be found in the following post:

http://community.yellowfin.bi/knowledge-base/article/struts-related-startup-error-in-yellowfin-july-2016-builds

If this does NOT resolve your issue, please email support@yellowfin.bi with all files under \yellowfin\appserver\LOGS and include any relevant screenshots or information.

Thanks,

David
