Can default aggregation on metrics be turned off across YF install?

Can default aggregation on metrics be turned off across YF install? Or toggled off when creating a new view?
In most, if not all, of our cases, we never want default aggregation on fields considered metrics. It is painful to set aggregation to "none" of fields across all tables.

yes, it can be turned off across YF install by going to Administration->Configuration->System->Views->Default Metric Aggregation and setting the value to None:
