Access Filter for CSV Files
Not Planned
Like Access Filters for normal views, it would be very helpful if all of the Access Filter functions will be available for CSV files as well :)
Is it possible, and easy to implement ?
Bests,
Dor & Tal
Hi Dor & Tal,
While I can understand why you would like this, this is not something that YF would currently support.
Reason being, we do not connect to CSV files directly, we instead take that CSV and store it in the writable data source of your choice.
So in essence, you should be able to get source filters working for data that has come from CSV, but it's still all configured at the data source itself.
E.g
I've uploaded a CSV to my 'Daves data source' which is stored in the table created automatically by YF 'YF_SPREADSHEET_60639' .
So I could then create a brand new build, based off that table, and use source filters on that data source .
What you're really doing here is just using YF to insert the CSV into your database, and then creating a brand new view off that database, so it's just like any other data source.
Hope this makes sense, and I can elaborate a bit more if needed.

David
