Unable to Resize Images in PDF Export

Hello,

We have added images to our reports in Yellowfin, but when we try to export them as a PDF, we are unable to resize the images. We tried setting the height and width in the PDF image settings, but the image size doesn't seem to reduce.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, or can anyone offer a solution on how to resize the images effectively during the PDF export?

Replication attempt on my environment:

I have tried to resize image while exporting to PDF in latest yellowfin with Java 21 and everything seems to be working. Please refer to the attached recording.

A screenrecording to illustrate the problem that you are facing.
Do you have Report Export Defaults configured for in Admin settings? :
Did image resizing during export worked fine earlier? If yes, what has changed after which it stopped working? (Any change to java or yellowfin upgrade etc?)

Hi Prathamesh,

Thanks for sharing the video.

In your report, the images are in columns but not on report canvas. But the image max height/width option in the PDF export settings only controls the image size of images which are canvas (Image in my video) but not the images of the column.

The PDF export option controls the image size of :

80535b188223858b2cc5d76da8134ce0

In your scenario, the image size can only be changed from the height and width of the report column in column formatting (your screenshot)

Thank you for your quick response.

Then how we can control the height/width of row images in PDF? we are able to control the height/width of row images in report columns but not in PDF export.

Please suggest an workaround for our scenario.

Hi Prathamesh,

Unfortunately, I couldn't resize the image in the PDF export if the images are in the report column - and teh format is 'Image Link Formatter'. I have created a task with the product team on this issue.

I will provide you with an update once I hear back from the team.
