What browsers are supported with Yellowfin?

Yellowfin supports the latest and greatest browsers (e.g. Latest Chrome/Firefox) . However Internet Explorer is where things get a little tricky.

The Microsoft supported browsers site is a bit misleading, what they really mean is that they will support the most recent browser for the supported OS.

So IE 9 will be supported on Vista, IE11 will be supported on Win 7 , 8, 8.1, Edge will be supported on Win 10.

However in terms of what Yellowfin supports;

• Yellowfin 7.3 will support
  Internet Explorer 11+
  Firefox 2+
  Opera 8+
  Safari 2+
  Chrome 5.7
  
• Yellowfin 7.2 will support
  InternetExplorer 9+
  Firefox2+
  Opera8+
  Safari2+
  Chrome 5.7
  
• Yellowfin 7.1 does support IE8 +, then all other major browsers.

This is helpful. I am trying to share documentation with our team and the topic of browser support came up today.

Originally I referred to the Server Specification guide for implementation but it did not list Chrome. Will that document be updated?

I recently had the same question regarding browser support. Yellowfin have stated that they will update the specifications to include Chrome.

I don't know when but it is on their list.
