Dear YF Team,

we want to use the special character * in reports, titels, descriptions, row an column names, KPIs etc.

Does this special character cause a problem?

Thanks and regards

Hi Matthias,

Thanks for reaching out. As part of a quick test, I had no issues saving or editing a report that contain most of these things:

/533b3f37b9d019a22575c0a76634fdb0

The only potential conflict would be if the '*' was being used as part of a SQL query, which wouldn't happen in most contexts, at least not in the places you've referenced.

For example, the above reports' SQL query is just:

/f0357b158c36296580d723a476d87e19

As such, I can't see there being an adverse effect using this in most contexts. Of course, much like anything else when building reports, it's best practice to test all your most utilized reports and most used functionality extensively, just to be sure.

Please let me know how goes and whether you have any follow-up questions or concerns.

Regards,

Mike
