When I clear the thumbnail it keeps coming back. Also, the image that is being displayed isn't formatting correctly. Is there another option I can choose to resolve this?

Hi Drew,

Thanks for getting in touch. I can't seem to replicate this on my build version. Can you please let me know what build of 7.4 you are using please or just attach you info.jsp file

Is it doing this for all reports or dashboards or just a particular one?

Paul, below if the version I'm on. I think it has to do with the first report in the Dashboard displaying a "Design" instead of a basic Report or Chart (the Report Thumbnail has the same problem). I tried to clear the image and go with the basic thumbnail display but it keeps coming back.

Hi Drew,

Okay, I have just been speaking to my Dev team about this and this is actually working correctly for which I have replicated the issue on your version and the latest one.

So as it stands now, If you delete the icon and then re-run the report in the dashboard it will actually re-generate the thumbnail. (Sorry I was not aware of this in the first place as I also presumed this was deleted. The delete thumbnail is currently designed to simply remove it until a new image is generated by the report.

As far as the strange thumbnail, it is probably related to it being a canvas based chart? which uses html to generate the report and in turn can generate a bad display. The only way would be to use a different chart/report other than this which should generate a better thumbnail.

No problems. I believe they are looking at some enhancements on this down the track, so will be worth looking out for. I will close this off for now, but if you nee anything let me know.
