Hi Jesus,

Thanks for reaching out, but a couple points: BMC Support is responsible for supporting direct Smart Reporting customers. Not only that, but due to the extensive custom integration and use of a proprietary driver they are far better equipped to troubleshoot issues in that environment regardless, considering the many variable that exist between Smart Reporting and standard Yellowfin.

Second, in general, Yellowfin Support does not field data-specific report creation queries such as these. Our role is more to attempt replication of potential defective behavior and to field general product questions. This type of question would fall more in the realm of consulting, for similar reasoning as above: consulting is better equipped to handle these types of questions, as report building is something they're more experienced with, this being a consulting task, and further, report building requires more in-depth knowledge of your data and reporting needs - something which Support doesn't have the resources to provide.

Briefly at a high level, since you mention the following: "perhaps I can use 2 reports? first one showing First field and drilling down to show a different report?" You may be able to accomplish what you're after through use of Drill Through's, so please read through the linked Wiki page and see if this may be a solution for you, then follow the steps to implement.

Ultimately, considering the above, and since you recently submitted the same question to BMC Support, please give them time to respond to your query and continue working this case with them.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Jesus,

I'm going to go ahead and mark this one as Answered as it looks like BMC is corresponding further with you on this.
