Though this feature has not been officially implemented (there are currently several enhancement tickets open to address this), there is now a cool workaround to get this exact functionality:

The multichart canvas feature has been rewritten for 7.3, and includes new text and image functionality. Dynamic text is not available, but the new features may help you get closer to generating the reports that you're looking for. If you could provide a detailed use case of what you're looking to build, we should be able to assist you better.

Hi,
I have a set of values in filter. If I select Value 'A', I want to show that on Report above the graph. Just like a place holder holds the dynamic value and displays when executed.
To be very specific, I am not expecting options to display filter.
