Is there a way to force single selection on Report filter?
Answered
in my particular case it makes no sense in combining the results of two or more items in a filter, therefore, I'd liket he ability to limit the filter selection to a single item.
Hi Jim,
I would recommend either using a custom SQL query for the filter, or creating a calculated field specifically for this single value, and then filtering on that.
Let me know if that makes sense/ sounds like it will work.

Let's say I had 3 items in a list. Those items were Metric Type, for example Tonnes, Pounds, and Cubic Yards. It wouldn't help a user to see the combination of Pounds and Tonnes if they inadvertently selected both. In this case, I'd want to prevent a selection of more than 1.

Hi Jim,
Sorry I might have misunderstood what you are going for here. It sounds like you want the filter "Equals" logic rather than "In list".
