Is there a way to display the runtime date in the report description?
Answered
I would like to show the runtime date in Excel, preferably in the description.
I need a 'Report as of <date>' in an Excel file. I see that it can be done in a print header or footer but it would be a lot easier if a user didn't have to print or print preview in Excel just to show the date.
Hi Peter,
Thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately, I am a bit confused as to what you are seeking here. Could you please provide a screenshot with annotations on what exactly you would like to see and where?
One initial thought is that you can create a freehand SQL calculated field using your DBMSes equivalent of MySQLs now(), which simply returns a time stamp representing the current time and will update each time the report is refreshed.
Again, it is hard to know if this is relevant without knowing a bit more about what you are going for. Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Nathan
