BMC - Is there a way to create Report Programatically ?

Hi,

We are working on POC and we need to find a way to create a report programtically using web-service or any other method,

The report will be based on existing views in Yellowfin, At this point report can be simple tabular report with set of fields.

I just went through existing set of Report web-services but those are mainly designed for interacting with existing report nothing has been found to create a new one.

Can this be achieved ?

I hope all is well,

Unfortunately it is not possible to create reports (or views) programatically.

The Yellowfin reporting web-service is more focused around consuming pre-existing reports, where the report creation is still done within the interface. I think going forward we would need to convert this Question to an Idea, are you ok with this? I look forward to your feedback on this.

Just for the workaround sake do you see any way from DB end ?

Thank you for the quick response, I will go through the steps of converting this now. With regards to a workaround through the DB end; I am not aware of any option to do this. Apologies for this.
