If we change the names of user groups and user roles, will this have any impact on permissions?
Answered
If I have existing user groups "group1" which have a filter to include users from role "role1", and I change the group name to "group2" and the role name to "role2" will there be any impact to the user experience?
Hi Shery,
There should be no impact to the user experience doing this.
I have a User Group called Test, I added a role "Personal Content Writer & Collaborator" and now the members are set to 4:
After changing name of Role to "Personal Content Writer & Collaborator" the changes are picked up in the User Group, and it still shows 4 users:
There's no indication this would have any adverse effects, and we don't seem to have any tickets that indicate such.
Regards,
Mike
