How to set the permission for 'Database Views' to create data source and views?

Thanks for posting your question.

For your reference:

C- Create, R- Run, U- Update, D-Delete

So if you want to permit the user to Update then you need to choose U, otherwise just tick R to Run.

See how you go with it.

Thanks very much for your quick response!

I created another ticket for this issue last week, and Ryan is working on it currently.

The problem I encountered is OK now after I restart yellowfin VMs.

One more question:

After investigated deeply, I found that: to make a role has the permission to create ‘Data Source’, it needs to select ‘C’(‘R’ is selected by default); if only select ‘U’, user with this role cannot create ‘Data Source’; is it the expected result?

If yes, then the limited requirement to make a role to have the permission to create ‘Data Source’ is select ‘C’(‘R’ is selected by default) only, is it right?

Please correct me if I misunderstood.

Yes, you are correct, in order to create a Data source, the role needs to have "C" selected. and Yes, "R" is selected by default.

I have tested this on Ver 7.2, Build: 20161024 build.
