How to Save and Re-use the individual filter in a Yellowfin Report?
Answered
Hi Team,
I would like to know:
1) How to save a filter and can re-use the individual filter in a report next time when user open the report in Yellowfin?
2) How would that impact the performance? Because in this case it could very well be that we have 5-10 users running the same base report at the same time.)
Note: Please treat this query as High Priority.
Thanking you,
Regards,
Ram Krishna
Hi Ram,
The filter values used last time the report was run should automatically be saved, so any user can see their same values.
If this is not sufficient I would recommend creating bookmarks:
http://wiki.yellowfin.com.au/display/USER73Plus/Bookmarks
The impact on performance here is minimal, unless you are caching the result set, then all that is required is to retrieve a few old records from the configuration database. You might want to watch the size of your reportinstance table long-term.
