Dear Yellow Fin Team,

Request you to provide us with a solution to make the Yellow fin (Reports, Dashboards and Screens of Yellow Fin) Pages Responsive.

When we resize the browser window its now responsive.

Hi Sairam,

Unfortunately this will not be possible within the Yellowfin UI. Typically our clients want to create dashboards that are consistent across their entire user base, so the width, height, and location values are all hard-coded.

However, if you use one of our integration methods, you can dynamically set this value yourself. If you are interested, I can convert this question to an idea so that the product team can review this for possible inclusion in future releases?

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Nathan

Thank Nathan,

You can make this request as an Idea and proceed further with your product team to make these responsive.

Will try the Integration methods from our end and get back to you.

Hi Nathan,

How can we set the width, height, and location values dynamically if Integration method is used ?

Thanks,

Hi Mansi,

Which integration method are you referring to specifically? It is worth noting that dynamic dashboard sizing will be available in Yellowfin 8..

Hi Nathan,

We use "Single Sign On" integration method. YF 8 is still far away so if there is any way we can dynamically resize dashboards and reports and make them bit responsive that would help for now.

We are on YF 7.3 right now.

Thanks,

Hi Mansi,

I was referring to the report service/js api integration methods. Unfortunately true responsiveness will not be possible until Yellowfin 8. We do offer a few global dashboard configuration options which can be found here:

Hi Muhannad,

Yellowfin canvas/dashboards are not responsive on mobile devices, this means you will need to tailor content specifically for mobile consumption. In saying this, it should generally look pretty good on a larger mobile device such as a tablet. It's the smaller devices that make it near impossible to consumer reports, so in this scenario we rely on the mobile app, which will show each individual chart for a report, and swiping will allow you to go to the next chart.

Hope this helps!

David
