How to configure access group and right for specific report?

Hi Team,I have an existing report which was set with Broadcast(email) already, I'm trying to add a new receiver into it, I've finished adding the user into broadcast rule, but there was an alert that this use has no access to this report yet.

Then I noticed from the information tab that one user group has access to this report and I managed to add this new user into that user group.

My question is how to configure and manage the user group access for this report?

Thanks and regards

Hi Steven,

Thanks for reaching out! Report Access is configured upon publishing/saving a report, so if you want to edit report access you can edit, then republish the report, at which point you'll see an option in the 'Save Report' pop-up for Report Access:

/92fcb7ce486b6bd381b9e8cc324be509

This will already be set to Private in your case, so you'd instead head into the User Access tab:

/e7739271848bad43b0f311ac7e58bc5e

This is where Privacy settings are stored for the report. You can add/remove users/groups here as you see fit.

Please let me know how goes and whether you have any other questions on this.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the guidance!

I find the report was saved as Public before and then the new user met the access issue, that's why I'm confused how it's configured with the user group access only.

Any other approaches? thanks.

Hi Steven,

Thanks for your response. Reports can be locked down at more than just the report-level. There's also the View-level and the Content Folder content is saved into that can have privacy settings configured. It may be worth reading through our Wiki entry for Security & Governance to see all places where content can be districted.

Please read through this and check the other two places specified for privacy settings and let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Mike
