How to concatenate columns with different data types?
3 columns- Date, Text, Text
I hope you are well!
In order to concatenate 3 columns, all you need to do is the following, and i will be using column 1, 2, and 3 and in my example
add column 1, 2 and 3 to your report
Add an Advanced function to column 1 > concatenate with column 2
Now add an advanced function to column 3 > concatenate with the previously concatenated column
I have included my own test example below -
So here I have my 3 columns - Year, Region and Demographic -
Then here I am concatenating Year column with Region -
And here are the results, the column is now called Addition of Column To Year -
Then here I am concatenating the Demographic field with the new column 'Addition of column to Year' -
Which, as you can see, has concatenated all 3 columns - as it now includes the demographic, Year & Region -
And then as an extra step, if you would like to only show the concatenated field, you can 'hide' the others -
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions :)
Thanks for detailed steps. Let me try this and will get back if I have any question.
