Thanks for getting in touch. This seems a fairly open / broad question so I will reference a couple of Wiki links. Here is the one for a View and here is one for a report. Both of these pages should guide you in the tight direction on how to create a calculated field.

Hi Shahul,

Thanks for the information. I would be looking at the permissions of the users Role and make sure you are allowed to do this.
