Hi All,

We are getting below Error in the email logs within the Yellowfin instance as

"ERROR: Error sending email: com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 554 Message rejected: Email address is not verified. The following identities failed the check in "

We found out that YellowFin Instance is trying to send mail from the logged in users email address which is ofcourse is not associated with our domain. Can someone please help us on where to change the configuration within the Yellowfin Instance so YF send email from the address given in Configuration under SMTP setup

Hi Mansi,

If a user chooses to 'share' a report via email, it will use the YF users account.

The only way you can specify the sender address is to use the 'Broadcast' option, as you have broadcast email address under Admin.

I guess what you can do is disable email sharing of reports, which will instead force users to download the report as PDF, which they can then email.

You can do this at the role or report level. So in your case I guess the role function makes more sense. See 'Email Reports' option function under 'Report Menu'.

I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, apologies.

We did discuss the alternative of hard-coding a 'from address' but it's not something that seemed to tie in well with other functionality, so at this point in time it was not deemed feasible.

David
