Hi David,

In regards to "http://community.yellowfin.bi/topic/can-yellowfin-broadcast-reports-to-sfpt#comment-785"

Awesome, it worked for me with little problem, on the server my home is /u/work/myuserid and wanted to sftp on the home folder and i entered the folder name /u/work/myuserid and it created the folder and sftp the output file /u/work/myuserid/u/work/myuserid/outputfile.txt. so addition folder and subfolder created.

Am I doing someting wrong or system is not understanding the entire path?

Hi Mohammad,

Sorry for the delayed response on this.

I've re-tested in the latest 7.2 release, and it seems to be working ok for me.

I have a similar set up where my user 'Peter' has the home folder /home/peter

If I enter the server directory as //home/peter, I will get the duplicate folder like yours:

/home/peter/home/peter

So instead I used the server directory // , which works ok. The report goes into

/home/peter

One thing I did notice though, is that it only took affect the 2nd time.

So I would suggest;

1. Delete your current broadcast.

2. Set it up again and set your Server Directory to //

You can then force it to run via Admin > Schedule Management (so you don't need to wait for the scheduled time).

Please let me know how this goes.

Regards,

David

Hi Mohammad,

Can you please shoot me a screenshot of the actual broadcast settings in the YF report?

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

Appreciate your time and response, due to federal holiday could not respond earlier.

Here is the screen shot, due to security concern removed the server information. It creates the output file under /u/wk/aqeel/u/wk/aqeel/myreportoutput.txt ( /u/wk/aqeel is the home folder for user aqeel)

Thanks

Mohammad
