Fonts not reflected in reports

Hello

I'm using version 7.3 and noticed that fonts are not reflected in reports (column format):

3f87b5d6fd5e212e3e1b2b4cd43079fc

Font format is only visible when the report is exported to Excel or Word:

e187f380cb0e254ef2900d1f3ae5c5ca

I verified that fonts are installed in the application server and in the end user machine (Windows environments).

Is there any setting that should be configured for font format to take place?

Hi Alicia,

Thanks for reaching out with your question. I've performed a similar test and found that this should work out of the box:

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

I also note from your email address that you are with BMC. Are you using Smart Reporting? If so, it's likely that this is being overwritten by custom CSS, as I know Smart Reporting is customized. In a quick test here, I found the font setting is being overwritten:

/QAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==

Can you confirm whether this is the case?

Thanks,

Ryan

Hello Ryan,

Thank you for your response. Yes, I'm using Smart Reporting.

So, if the font is being overwritten by custom CSS, were could I edit the CSS to reflect the report font format?

Alicia

Hi Alicia,

Thanks for the reply. In regards to this, you will have to reach out to the Smart Reporting developers for more information, as I'm unsure which changes they may have made that are causing this. What I can say is that from a Yellowfin stand point, custom css files are located in <YellowfinInstall>/appserver/webapps/ROOT/customcss.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this.

Thanks,

Ryan
