Filter dataset using Advanced Function (Decile)
Answered
Hi!
I want to create a report filtering values from a column which are greater than 90th percentile in that dataset.
I can use Advanced function "Decile" to rank each value of the column assigning a value of 1 to 10 based upon its rank to the highest value, but I can't use this Decile function as filter (filtering values with decile greater than 9, I would achieve my goal, but it's not possible).
Is there any way to do this in Yellowfin?
Thank you in advance.
Regards
Hi Miguel,
I think the easiest way to accomplish this would be to include your "Decile" column in the report and then use the powerful Yellowfin feature called "Use as View" (Save Report->Report Settings) which would turn the report into a view, and then of course it would be a simple matter to then create a new report based on that view and just drag the "Decile" column into the filter area.
I hope that helps you meet your reporting requirements!
regards,
David
