Feature request: add date slider to scatterplot chart

I have a scatterplot to which I'd like to add a date slider, so that readers can select the period most relevant to them.
If I make this a line chart, then I have the option to enable Time Series like in this video:
But when I make it a scatterplot, which is the layout I like here, I don't have the option to enable time series:
Am I missing anything where I could add an interactive date slider to the scatterplot? If not, this would be a great feature.
