Is it possible to export a report with sections in such a way, that each section will appear in a different tab in Excel?

Unfortunately, this is not possible - the only way to be able to do this would be to create multiple reports to be able to export into the spreadsheet.

It is not something that I can see that is currently in development.
If you would like to raise this as an Idea, then other customers can vote on it and allow this to be escalated as a feature.
