Dashboard Filters
Answered
Hi,
I have question regarding the dashboard filters in
Yellowfin. Within the "Analytic Setup" I applied filters to connect
two reports, however when I go to the actual dashboard that houses those two
reports I see a bunch of other filters populate in my list even though the
reports tied to those filters aren't even in that particular dashboard. How can
I limit my dashboard to only show the filters tied to the particular reports
being shown in that dashboard.
I made sure that those reports were not linked to any other
reports and did not have any hidden filters in the setup. I think it has
something to do with the "Filter Settings" - please see attached file
for explanation.
Thanks
Hi Chad,
the way to configure which filters are to be displayed on a dashboard tab is explained in point 3 of our wiki article on Dashboard Analytic Setup.
You will also find a video on that page which shows how to correctly set up an analytic dashboard.
Unfortunately your file didn't get attached to this post so I can't see how you configured your analytic setup, however, I'm guessing that it's not a bug but just a configuration issue.
So if the above wiki page and video doesn't help you then please try again to attach your file and make sure it shows how your current analytic setup has been configured.
Please let us know how you get on with this.
regards,
David

Hi Chad,
I notice that you never got back to me about this issue, so please let me know if this is still an issue or not. If you don't reply within a week then I will have to close this ticket.
And don't worry, if it turns out that this Question is closed but then the issue comes back, then just simply raise a new one.

David
