Containerization and Multi-tenant

Hello,

We are rolling out sites for all of our customers. Each customer will have from 5-10 seats.

The specifications for the server make it such that each container's footprint needs to be much larger than we anticipated. This will push our node pool up and the cost becomes prohibitive.

We would like to know if we can configure the system such that mutliple customers can be held in one container. Multiple instances of the Db in one DB Container.

Thanks

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for reaching out. You should be able to run multiple Yellowfin DB connections on one container without issues, granted there are enough resources (processing power, threads, connections etc) available on both sides.

We have some good resources in our server specification and deployment guides -

https://wiki.yellowfinbi.com/display/yfcurrent/Install+And+Deploy+Yellowfin

Here's some info on how that connection works that may be helpful in the deployment -

https://community.yellowfinbi.com/knowledge-base/article/how-the-connection-pool-works-for-the-yellowfin-database-and-data-sources

We also have implementation specialists that could assist with this type of planning for performance and scaling, let me know if you would be interested in that type of opportunity here.

Thanks,

Eric
